A Web Page Set up to recognize the Injury Prevention Center in Nassau County. The Web Page will also set up links to other centers in Long Island. The Web Page is meant to help the public get access to information that can be useful in case of an emergency.
Our Mission
Unintentional injuries are the leading cause of death amoung young people in the United States. Between 1991 and 1994, Nassau County experienced 1056 deaths from unintentional injuries. Nonfatal injuries accounted for 41,432 hospital visits. The Nassau County Injury Prevention Center will hopefully help inform many people to help prevent the unitentional injury or even help nurse an unintentional injury. The NCIPC has numerous doctors on staff to help the unintentional injury and help lower the numbers of fatal or nonfatal injuries. The Web Site will also connect you to other centers and hopefully cover any range of injuries.
